Default Wow!

Oh jesus! You guys are so talented! I feel so meek and tiny next to your magestic glory!
But anywho, here's two sigs.. the second is my newest, I made it for GW, and Im not quite sure yet if the transparency will work! The first's base image was from Rammstein's music video, Seeman, and I made it for me for a diff forum . I would show more of my stuff.. but this is my most recent, and the better of my works, me thinks. And well, I love signatures, they give everyone an invidualistic flair, I can't wait for them to start working here.

Wow, a lot of good material here. I haven't made a new sig in months and months. For some strange reason I have this compulsion to play GW...... Anyways I sat down and made up a new one. Let me know what you all think!

A little warning for you. Making sigs is kinda like crack. Once you start you just wanna keep on doing it. (not that I'd know..... ) Also, the more you do it, the easier it gets. I use Photoshop and find the many many tutorial sites uber valuable in making just the right effect.

I do my fair share of photoshop editing, removing names, and stuff from pictures, so people can avatarize them, but it would be cool to add that block type effect to avatars, how do you do them? I am decent at editing (i.e. my avatar, created from two images), but not so good at creating.

This is the thread I got the idea from. Here. I then added a few bells and whistles by changing the borders around each of the squares, and presto. There's at least 3 or 4 sites that I go to regularily for tutorials, but there has to be hundereds out there. Just do a google search with the search words "photoshop tutorials".

Cool, thanks.

How do you make the borders multicolored (and patterned) like that?

edit: Nevermind, I figured it out. This is an avatar for a different site. Black, because of the black background rather than tan like this site...

If you start with a transparent background you don't have to worry about the background color. Just make sure to save it in .gif format.

It works great. You just gotta save it in a .gif format for it to work.
